Announcement: SVC Acquires Frankston Concrete Products

SVC Completes Business Acquisition of Frankston Concrete Products (FCP), Securing Supply Continuity for Victorian Infrastructure

SVC Civil Products is pleased to announce that the business has formally acquired Frankston Concrete Products (FCP).

Frankston Concrete Products, a 73-year-old precast manufacturing business, had notified its customers in October 2025 of its impending closure.

Recognising the importance of FCP’s product supply within the broader scope of Victoria’s infrastructure pipeline, SVC Civil Products took proactive steps to secure the future of the business, its operations, and the needs of its valued client base.

Ensuring No Disruption for the Civil Industry

The acquisition supports the continued availability of critical precast concrete products essential for civil construction across Victoria – concrete pipe, stormwater and tradewaste pits, pump systems and water tanks – unseen but necessary components that make up the foundation of cities.

By continuing with and growing FCP’s operations, SVC is helping to safeguard project timelines and local supply chains at a time when reliability is crucial for the boom in Victorian infrastructure.

Expanded Capabilities for an Improved Customer Offering

The integration of the FCP operation into SVC Civil Products’ business supports SVC’s broader strategy to amplify its local manufacturing capabilities. It enables the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, which will increase productivity to better satisfy the growing demands of Australia’s infrastructure pipeline.

Following the acquisition, customers of both SVC and FCP will benefit from:

  • A broader, more comprehensive product range;
  • Increased manufacturing capacity and stock holdings;
  • Streamlined service and improved supply reliability;
  • Continued access to conforming products and experienced teams.

Shane Shepherd, CEO of SVC Civil Products, affirms:

“The acquisition of Frankston Concrete Products reflects SVC’s long-term confidence in the civil construction sector and the critical role local manufacturing plays in supporting it. This is a fantastic opportunity for SVC to improve efficiency and boost local jobs, while bringing better value to all SVC and FCP’s traditional customers. Most importantly, it ensures that essential and sovereign precast supply remains stable at a time when our industry needs it most.”

Next Steps for SVC and FCP Customers

SVC will maintain standard trading operations from FCP’s Dandenong South facility during the immediate transitional period, ensuring continued supply to customers without disruption. The Dandenong South location will operate alongside SVC’s existing Civil distribution branches in Mordialloc, Thomastown and Breakwater.

Products will remain available from their current locations, and customers may continue to place orders and arrange collections and deliveries as per usual.

While the FCP phone number +61 3 9786 3111 will remain active, customers are now encouraged to send all email enquiries and correspondence to sales@svc.com.au

This will ensure all enquiries are managed efficiently as integration operations continue.

Investing in the Future

SVC Civil Products continues to invest in its people, processes, and production capabilities. The acquisition creates an immediate need for SVC to supplement its existing local workforce with additional skilled personnel, maintaining current productive outputs while preparing for future growth. In addition to the FCP staff who will be retained, the company intends to employ more staff.

As market conditions constantly evolve, SVC is geared to adapt and grow to meet changing needs, ensuring continued stability, reliability, and value to its customers and to the wider community who rely on developing civil infrastructure.
