The St Kilda Foreshore is a prominent public space that has always drawn a flurry of activity. In 2009, Jackson Clements Burrows Architects and Site Office collaborated to design 700m of foreshore. The promenade was widened and different bands created for pedestrians, cyclists and roller-bladers to use separately, reducing the rate of collisions. The successful integration of mixed spaces won the project AILA Victoria’s Design in Landscape Architecture Award and RAIA Victorian Architecture’s Urban Design Award in 2009.

SVC was chosen to supply hexagonal pavers of varying colours and sizes, as well as small mushroom-shaped seat pods that are positioned throughout the paved areas.
