Spanning the area of sixteen football fields, the impressive new RBR Hub by Goodman Australia will become the next generation industrial hub in western Melbourne.

Offering excellent access to Melbourne’s major road networks, the new 88-hectare site presents an exceptional opportunity for businesses to secure warehouse and office space in a tightly-held region. The RBR Hub offers an on-site 150 sqm cafe, parks for a relaxing space to eat lunch or enjoy a morning coffee, and is nearby a Westfield shopping centre. The RBR Hub also values sustainability, collecting rainwater, having an expansive solar panel array and offering electric vehicle charging ports available to tenants and their staff.

During site establishment works around the new hub, SVC supplied a dozen tiered flood grates which were incorporated into the surrounding sloped roads, diverting stormwater into the site’s drainage infrastructure. With an individual tiered flood grate already providing much greater in-flow capacity compared to a standard flat grate, the deployment of multiple tiered flood grates ensures maximum stormwater capture.

This impressive installation allows a significant amount of stormwater to be captured during periods of heavy rainfall, preventing flooding and reducing the risk of surface water pooling, enabling safer travel for drivers and other road users.
