Description

SVC’s Subsoil Accessories are a range of high-quality components designed in compliance with DTP/VicRoads requirements for underground pavement and formation drains, helping to build robust, compliant subsurface drainage systems.

Consisting of precast concrete flushout risers and batter outlets, SVC’s subsoil accessories ensure that every part of a pavement drainage network, including the connections and terminations, satisfies the stringent DTP standards.

Designed to be used with 100-150mm dia slotted/agricultural pipes (agi pipes) and SVC Subsurface Pits, this range provides a guaranteed system of compatibility and compliance, ensuring peace of mind for project sign-off.

Item Descriptions

  • Flushout Risers: Used at the start of a subsoil drain run, providing a surface access point for the inspection and maintenance of underground pavement drains. SVC offers single flushout risers, double flushout risers and apron-sized flushout risers.
  • Batter Outlets: Used at the termination of a subsurface drain run, acting as an outlet for the safe discharge of stormwater on a sloped area. Batter outlets prevent embankment erosion and are pre-fitted with vermin guards to protect the underground pipework. Single and double batter outlets are available through SVC.

Material Specifications

  • Manufactured locally at SVC premises using high-strength 40MPa precast concrete
  • Steel-reinforced as per VicRoads SD1631
  • Contains approximately 8% recycled content by product weight
  • Mix design contains 15-36% supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), reducing embodied carbon

What pipe sizes do SVC subsoil accessories fit?

As per DTP/VicRoads Standard Drawing SD 1631, SVC flushout risers can accommodate 100 or 150mm dia agi pipes. SVC batter outlets are produced with a pre-fitted PVC pipe collar at 100mm dia.
