A new six-lane road bridge has become part of the Melton Highway in Sydenham, a result of the Melton Highway Level Crossing Removal Project.

The southern side of the road bridge was completed in January 2018, and the northern side was opened to traffic in August 2018. By October, the finishing touches to the underpass area beneath the bridge were completed.

Extensive hexagonal paving and geometric bench modules were supplied by SVC to furnish the new underpass, featuring three colours of concrete (light grey, medium grey and charcoal).
