The City of Hume approached SVC, seeking an alternative solution to the existing rubber speed humps in their municipality. The council had found that the rubber humps used previously were prone to deterioration, resulting in excess costs for maintenance and replacement.

A small batch of SVC’s precast concrete speed cushions were initially trialled. Following council’s approval and satisfaction of the concrete’s durability and performance, SVC have now delivered almost 50 speed cushions which have been installed extensively throughout Craigieburn, Broadmeadows and surrounding suburbs.
