The South Gippsland Shire Council has recently completed a significant upgrade of Bair Street, a key thoroughfare shared by cars and pedestrian traffic in the community of Leongatha. The two-year project involved a renewal of the drainage and power networks, as well as upgrades to the overall streetscape, including new lighting, landscaping, street furniture and car parking spaces.
The revitalised streetscape encourages community activity and interaction via a widened footpath and the introduction of various outdoor furniture elements. This outdoor furniture suite comprises various concrete modules from SVC Urban’s catalogue range, customised with timber and steel elements from Draffin and Spark.
Locals and visitors to Leongatha can now enjoy the new outdoor amenities and furnishings in the upgraded streetscape.
