Precast Kerbs

Durable and Uniform Kerbing for Roads and Car Parks

Description

SVC Precast Kerbs offer a faster, more durable, and highly accurate alternative to traditional on-site kerb forming. They are designed to solve the challenge of creating long-lasting, uniform kerb and channel systems for roads, subdivisions, and commercial car parks. Manufactured in a controlled factory environment, each section of precast kerbing has a consistent shape, strength, and finish. This provides a superior quality asset that can be installed rapidly, reducing labour costs and project timelines compared to conventional pour-in-situ methods.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you incorporate colour or reflective markings into precast kerbs?

SVC's precast kerbing range - including traffic median kerbs, spiked kerbs, wheel stops, bike separator kerbs and speed humps - is produced in our standard high-strength concrete mix, supplied in an industrial grey concrete colour. This provides a clean blank canvas that allows the client to paint, stencil or add reflective markings to the kerbing products for applications where high-visibility is required.

How do you join the sections of precast kerb?

The kerb sections are laid end-to-end on a prepared concrete bed. The small gaps between the units are then filled with mortar to create a continuous, solid kerb line.

Are different kerb shapes and profiles available?

Yes, we manufacture a range of precast kerbs to match the most common council and VicRoads profiles used in road and car park construction.

What is the advantage of precast kerbing over pouring on-site?

Precast kerbing offers superior quality control, strength, and durability. It's also much faster to install, as there is no need for formwork, pouring, and curing time on-site.
